Students outside Queen Mary Community Elementary in the heart of North Vancouver. Sutherland Secondary is one of 6 world-class high schools in our district.

The North Vancouver School District enrols approximately 16,000 students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 with a limited number of international students at each school.

Each of our secondary schools enrols between 70-100 international students, and each elementary school enrols a maximum of 20 international students.

Schools in North Vancouver are organized into "families of schools" with our six secondary schools servicing 25 elementary schools.

All teachers are BC-government certified and use a variety of modern methods to provide students with high quality instruction in B.C.'s new curriculum.

North Vancouver School District students regularly perform extremely well on provincial assessments of reading, writing, and numeracy and on provincial scholarship examinations.

Learning at all levels requires the active participation of the student. All students are expected to follow their school's Code of Conduct.
