Calling all aspiring chefs!

This program introduces students to professional kitchen operations, cooking fundamentals, baking, butchery, and café service while building teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Students may earn 30 VCC credits, 20 high school credits, and Level 1 Red Seal certification. Open to Grade 11–12 students.

Interested in working with kids?

Explore the world of child development and learn how children grow physically, cognitively, socially, emotionally, and through language. After completing the Langara course, you’ll gain 90 hours of hands-on Work Experience in a daycare and/or Kindergarten classroom—perfect for building skills, experiencing a post secondary course, and exploring a future career working with children. Applications are due March 13th and are available through your school counselor, WEX teacher, or online.

Free opportunity for grade 9-12 students!

This program is a dynamic, hands-on entrepreneurship experience that brings students, educators, and mentors together to build real businesses from the ground up. Over 16 weeks, to create, launch and operate your own ventures—developing practical skills in leadership, teamwork, marketing, finance, and problem-solving. Students also have the opportunity to take on executive roles in an area of interest within the student company. Registration required!

Open House - February 7

Interested in exploring creative career paths? VFS hosts an in-person open house where you can explore programs in film, animation, game design, visual effects, writing, sound, and digital design. Attendees will have the chance to tour the campus, meet instructors, connect with current students, and learn more about the admissions process and career outcomes. Registration required.
