​One Hundred Artists Deep opens at the Gordon Smith Gallery on April 10 from 6–8 p.m. For this exhibition, curator Andrea Valentine-Lewis invited eight local artists to create new work in response to artworks from the Artists for Kids Permanent Collection by founders Bill Reid, Jack Shadbolt, and Gordon Smith.​

This collection of limited edition prints by Russna Kaur, Elizabeth McIntosh and Gathie Falk have been brought together to consider the intersections across generations through mentorship, influence, and time. Currently on display in the ESC lobby, the 2026 Spring Portfolio​ releases April 10 at 12 p.m.

The Professional Chef 1 Foundation​ program introduces students in Grades 11-12 to professional kitchen operations, cooking fundamentals, baking, butchery, and café service while building teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Apply through your school counsellor or WEX Teacher by April 17.

The Community Report is a tradition within NVSD, and we are delighted to share the 2026 edition with the broader North Vancouver community as well as other educators, administrators and curious public! For Education Week 2026, we introduced a refreshed, fully digital Community Report.

NVSD academies enhance the overall student experience by providing learning environments that concentrate on a focal skill set. Students in Grades 8-12 can accelerate their knowledge and skill development in an area of interest that can form a foundation for successful postgraduation pursuits.​
