The Elementary Band and Strings Program is a unique instrumental music program that is distinctive to the NVSD. The program complements the BC Ministry of Education’s Arts Education curriculum and provides school-based instrumental instruction to students in the intermediate grades (Grades 5 – 7 for Band and Grades 4 – 7 for Strings). There are two options for registering for the 2021/22 Elementary Band and Strings program: • January 15 – March 5. Fee: $470 (same price as 2020/21). This fee can be paid with a monthly instalment plan until September 1. • Late Registration: March 15 – September 30. Fee: $545. No monthly installment plan available. Important: • Registering by March 5 allows us to plan for programming and staffing. Low registration numbers may result in program cancellations at schools. • Late Registration may not be available and will be based on program availability at your school site and class size. • You may withdraw your child from the program and receive a full refund up to June 15. After this date, a $75 fee will be charged. More information is available on the NVSD Band and Strings web page.
