Step 1: Register online 

Submit your course request through the online registration portal. Students please use a personal email address that differs from your parent contact email address to enroll. Some email services from B.C. school districts do not allow communication outside their organization, and there are issues with Brightspace account creation if the email address for the student is the same as the parent contact. NVSD students are suggested to use their @sd44.ca email address.

Step 2: Complete the Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement 

All students are required to complete and submit the Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement.

​If you are a Grade 10-12 student not currently attending a secondary school in BC, or would like to withdraw from your current school to go full-time online, please email Hannah Welwood, the Academic Advisor, at ​​hwelwood@sd44.ca to connect for an intake meeting. ​You will also need to register to NVSD here: https://studentregistration.sd44.ca/​.

Visit the Required Documents web page for more information on the type of documents that are accepted. Please email the following identification files to NVOL@sd44.ca. 

• Proof of Status in Canada for the student
• Proof of Status in Canada for the parent/guardian (if student is under the age of 19)
• Proof of Address in B.C.
