*Cross enrollment means you are attending a secondary school in BC and cross-enrol to another secondary school to enrol in courses outside of your regularly scheduled timetable at your home school.
Step 1: Register online
Submit your course request through the online registration portal. Students outside the North Vancouver School District, please use a personal email address that differs from your parent contact email address to enroll. Some email services from B.C. school districts do not allow communication outside their organization, and there can be issues with Brightspace account creation if the email address for the student is the same as the parent contact.
Step 2: Email course selection
The student’s parent/guardian must email NVOL@sd44.ca with the course name and grade level in which you would like to register your child.
Step 3: Gather and submit required documents
Visit the Required Documents web page for more information on the type of documents that are accepted. Please email the following identification files to NVOL@sd44.ca.
*International students who attend an NVSD school do not need to submit their documents
- Proof of Status in Canada for the student
- Proof of Status in Canada for the parent/guardian (if student is under the age of 19)
- Proof of Address in B.C.
Step 4: Email course selection (For students in Grade 8 & 9)
The student’s parent/guardian must email NVOL@sd44.ca with the course name and grade level in which you would like to register your child.
Step 5: Complete the Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement
All students are required to complete and submit the Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement.
