Fees

North Vancouver Online Learning, as per the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care Policy, provides courses free of charge to students who are ordinarily residents in British Columbia and are:

  • School age students (under 19 until July 1st of the current school year) who have not graduated
  • Adults (19 +) who have not graduated from BC or from any other educational jurisdiction in the world
  • Youth and adults who have graduated from a B.C. Secondary School or from any other educational jurisdiction in the world and are upgrading a course or courses on the BC Ministry of Education's tuition free course list

Adults & International Students

As per Ministry policy, school districts may set fees for students/services not supported by the Ministry of Education and Child Care's mandate to support K-12 and adult non-graduates /graduates who are normally residents of British Columbia.

Individuals who have graduated from a B.C. secondary school or from any other educational jurisdiction in the world:

  • For courses not listed on the Ministry of Education and Child Care's Graduated Adult Funding list, a non-refundable fee of $550 per course will be charged, payable at the time of registration.
  • Please remit payment via this link to SchoolCash Online​  and submit the receipt for this payment together with your supporting documentation.

International students*:

  • A non-refundable fee of $1,000 per course will be charged, payable at the time of registration.  Please remit payment via this link to SchoolCash Online​ and submit the receipt for this payment together with your supporting documentation.

*International students who attend a North Vancouver School District secondary school who need to take an online learning course for graduation and cannot fit it into their in-person timetable due to scheduling conflicts will not be charged a course fee. To waive the course fee, students must have approval from their grade counsellor, and this approval must be communicated to the NVOL principal.


Special Services

  • Enhanced academic advising that includes course adjustments, prior learning credit, equivalency, challenge, transcripts, and upgrading: $50-$100 (dependent on the amount of time and paperwork necessary for graduation completion requirements)
  • Invigilation of tests and exams:
    • No charge for current NVOL students.
    • No charge for any B.C. resident enrolled in any other Provincial Online Learning School and who require invigilation in North Vancouver.
    • $50 for students taking online learning courses at any post-secondary institution and require invigilation in North Vancouver.

A note about invigilations:

  • New invigilations must be booked one week in advance. Please send the invigilation request forms from your school with the student’s name and contact information; and instructors' name, email and phone number.
  • Test invigilations at the Mountainside NVOL Centre are by appointment only.
