North Vancouver Online Learning (NVOL) is a Provincial Online Learning School.

We offer 63 courses from Grade 8-12 in either English or French that are aligned with the B.C. curriculum and taught by certified teachers.

We provide students and adult learners on the North Shore and across the province with a flexible, personalized pathway to earn the B.C. Certificate of Graduation (“Dogwood Diploma”), Diplôme de fin d'études secondaires en Colombie-Britannique, or B.C. Adult Graduation Diploma (“Adult Dogwood”) or upgrade in preparation for post-secondary school. 

Our continuous registration process, and anywhere, anytime and on any device asynchronous instructional model, allow students to combine online courses with their regular, in-person courses at mainstream schools. This flexibility allows students to take additional courses or adjust their schedules to meet the demands of athletic programs or part-time work schedules. We also support youth and adults who have not yet graduated or require additional courses for post-secondary studies.

While students have the option of studying entirely remotely online, we do offer a blended model of online learning and in-person interactions for students who choose to access our North Vancouver Online Learning Centre located at Mountainside Secondary School in North Vancouver.
