International Baccalaureate Programmes
IB logo.png​Founded in 1968, the International Baccalaureate® (IB) is a non-profit educational foundation offering four highly respected programmes of international education that develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills needed to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. IB has ​​a reputation for high standards of teaching, pedagogical leadership and student achievement. IB Programmes encourage students to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand and practice​ global citizenship. The Diploma Programme prepares students around the world for university by providing schools with a common pre-university curriculum, a common set of external examinations, and a diploma recognized by universities around the world. IB works with more than 3,900 schools in 148 countries.

Three IB Programmes

North Vancouver School District offers the full IB continuum; three IB programs spanning from kindergarten to grade 12. The programs can be offered individually or as a continuum:

IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
For grades K-7

 and Queen Mary Elementary
IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
For grades 8-10
Offered at Carson Graham Secondary
