BCIT: Jill of all Trades

Jill of All Trades is a day-long event hosted at BCIT and led by female mentors to inspire young women or those who identify as female in Grades 9 through 12 to pursue careers in the Skilled Trades. Participants will experience a fun-filled day of practical, in-the-shop sessions (BCIT)  

​Who should attend? 

Grade 9 through 12 students with an interest exploring the trades 

​​What are the benefits? 

  • ​Engage in workshops that provide hands-on experience with Ironworking, Sheet Metal, Industrial Instrumentation, carpentry and more! 
  • Interact with industry professionals and explore career possibilities and pathways 

​When and where is the program offered? 

  • ​Students MUST be able to find their own transportation to BCIT’s Burnaby Campus 
  • Full Day 
  • Next event date: November 2023 (date TBD)  

​What is the cost? 

  • ​No Cost 

​How do I register? 

  • ​Please see the school Work Experience Teacher to register. 
  • All applications must go through the Work Experience Department.
