Secondary Interim Reports:

• An informal, interim report from the teacher to all students and parents will ensure an awareness of student progress as the quarter progresses.


• Interim reports will be prepared for each quarter course mid-way through the quarter. The final grade will be provided at the end of the quarter.


• For full-year courses (e.g., Yearbook, Leadership etc.), informal reporting will occur at the end of each quarter and informal/interim reports may also be provided at the mid-way point of the quarter, at the discretion of the teacher. The final grade for all full-year courses will be provided at the end of the school year.


• Elective Rotation (e.g., Grade 8 rotation Woodwork/Metalwork/Foods)
• The final communication of student learning will occur by the end of each quarter.
• Interim reporting for elective rotation courses may differ between schools as the organization of elective rotation courses varies from school to school. Each secondary school will determine communication requirements for interim reporting.


• Interim Reports will be published during the following periods:



​Quarter One Interim Report	​October 19-30, 2020
​Quarter Two Interim Report	​December 14-17, 2020
​Quarter Three Interim Report	​March 8-11, 2021
​Quarter Four Interim Report	​May 31-June 3, 2021

• Interim Reports will reference:
• a cumulative grade to date
• a comment that addresses:
• students’ achievement in relation to curricular expectations and learning standards (what they know, understand and are able to demonstrate)
• areas for further development, and guidance to help support their learning
