Central Registration is now accepting transfer requests and new registrations for Grades 1-12 for the 2025-26 school year. To register a student or submit a transfer application, please book an appointment online, complete a registration or transfer form, and review the information on our Registration webpage to ensure you bring all required materials. For 2026-27 registration and transfer dates, visit our Registration webpage. To notify us of a student withdrawal, please email withdrawals@sd44.ca.

2026/27 Academies

The application period for academies begins on Thursday, January 15, 2026. The following academies will be offered during the 2026/27 school year: Artists for Kids Studio Art, Basketball, Dance, Digital Media, Digital Media Lite, Field Hockey, Hockey Skills, Rowing, Soccer and Volleyball.

From The Ground is on view at the Gordon Smith Gallery from September 19, 2025 to February 26, 2026. Curated by Holly Schmidt and Amelia Epp, the exhibition features works by contemporary artists alongside works from the Artists for Kids and Gordon Smith Gallery Permanent Collection.

Education Services Centre Winter Break Hours

The Education Services Centre (2121 Lonsdale Avenue) will be closed to the public December 22-26, 2025, and January 1, 2026. It will be open to the public December 29-31, 2025 and January 2, 2026.

Secondary Enhanced Programs & Academies Open House — January 14

Families with students in Grades 7 to 11 are invited to learn about the various enhanced programs and academies offered at secondary schools throughout the school district. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carson Graham Secondary (2145 Jones Avenue).
