2025/26 Kindergarten - Registration open

Initial registration for 2025/26 Kindergarten (children born in 2020) continues until Monday, January 6, 2025. Information regarding the registration process is available on the Kindergarten registration web page.

National Indigenous Veterans Day honours the thousands of Indigenous peoples who served overseas during the First World War, Second World War and Korean War. On the home front, Indigenous communities donated money and worked for the war industry. Despite their contributions and sacrifices, Indigenous peoples remained marginalized.
National Indigenous Veterans Day was established in Winnipeg in 1994; it is observed annually on November 8.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is an annual observance that honours the memory of the transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. It began in 1999 by Gwendolyn Ann as a vigil to honour the memory of Rita Hester, a transgender woman who was killed in 1998. It is observed annually on November 20.
