The Peak Performance Program is a non-credit timetabling option for elite-level student athletes and performers in Grades 8 to 12. Recognizing the need to balance education with demanding competition and training schedules, the Peak Performance Program enables students to pursue their athletic and performing arts goals without compromising their education. It is appropriate for athletes competing at the regional, provincial, or national level or for students highly involved in intensive fine arts or performing arts programs.

The deadline for submission of 2023-2024 Peak Performance applications and supporting documents is Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
If your child is interested and qualifies for this scheduling option at Handsworth, please ensure that documents have been submitted to the school office. Please note that students must
re-apply on an annual basis. Peak Applications may be dropped off to the Handsworth Office or emailed to
handsworth@sd44.ca.
The PEAK Application is not a course rather a request to ask for a timetabling accommodation for your student so that the student may use this time to catch up on missed work due to competitions or games. It is expected that students applying for this accommodation are high achieving students and able to balance an educational program with their rigorous training schedule.
