Loran Scholarship
​Grade 12 students interested in submitting an application for the Loran Scholarship should apply before October 13, 2021 at 8:00 PM Eastern time.  Focus is on character, service and leadership - $100,000 over 4 years.

Please note that school sponsorship is no longer required for consideration for this award.

​​​The National Scholarship
​The National Scholarship rewards students who demonstrate superior academic performance, original and creative thought, and exceptional achievement in a broad context.

This award covers tuition, incidental, and residence fees for up to four years of study.

​The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships​Are you an International student and applying to the University of Toronto?  See Ms. Renwick by November 1, 2021 to be considered as the Handsworth nominee.

It is recommended you apply for admission through the OUAC before November 7, 2021 (official deadline: December 14, 2021) as spaces in programs fill-up quickly and popular programs may close early.

TD Community Leadership ScholarshipsWorth up to $10,000. Awarded to students who have consistent and outstanding dedication to solving a community problem or making their community a better place. Minimum 75% average in most recently completed school year.

Queens Chancellor Scholarship and other major Admission Awards from Queen's University
Handsworth will be selecting two nominees from our school to apply for the Queen's Chancellor Scholarship.

You may apply for all awards that you are eligible for by submitting a single Major Admission award (MAA) application.

Terry Fox Humanitarian Award
This award looks for students who are involved in voluntary humanitarian activities.

The maximum value of the award is $28,000, dispersed over four (4) years. A stipend of $7,000 is issued directly to the institution each year in two installments of $3,500, one in September and one in January. For students who do not pay tuition fees, the award is $3,500 per year, issued directly to the institution in two installments of $1,750 each.

Beedie Luminaries

​$10,000 per year for up to four years given to students who will attend a BC post-secondary school and have faced financial adversity.

STEAM Horizon Awards
Provides a $25,000 prize towards post-secondary education for students demonstrating leadership, innovation, drive, ambition and determination and are preparing to enrol in a STEAM field at a Canadian institution.
