Handsworth Parent Advisory Council (HPAC) 2023-2024

Welcome to the HPAC Page.

As a community of parents, the HPAC works with school administrators and staff to support student success.

This page provides parents with news about HPAC activities and events, connects you with information and resources you need, and identifies opportunities where you can make a difference to the school.

The Handsworth Parent Advisory Council (HPAC) would like to extend a warm welcome to returning and new students, staff, and parents.

We strive to provide parents/guardians of Handsworth Students with timely communication and keep them informed about HPAC activities. HPAC is proud to maintain regular communication with the Handsworth administration and we want to hear from parents/guardians to make sure we represent you well.  Information can be found on the Handsworth PAC Facebook Page, as well as on Instagram @Handsworth PAC and Twitter @HandsworthPAC.

Click HERE for the link to the Government of BC’s K:12 Back to School Protocol.  We encourage you to review this as it provides the most up to date information regarding school start up.

We want you to know that HPAC remains committed to our school’s vision statement:

“The Handsworth Community develops empowered, innovative, and compassionate learners who serve and lead with curiosity and integrity”.

Wishing you and your families a safe, supported, and successful year.

HPAC is looking for parents/guardians of grade 8 students interested in getting involved with the HPAC Executive.  These are non-voting positions but are a way to learn about the HPAC operations and get involved as well as represent grade 8 parents/guardians.  When vacancies arise there are opportunities to transition into voting roles.

Hot Lunch Volunteers

HPAC is looking for parents/guardians interested in volunteering to support the hot lunch program on Tuesdays, Thursdays and or Fridays.  For as little as one hour per week, this is a great way to get involved at the school.  Training will be provided.  You will meet other parents/guardians and have the opportunity to be in the school at lunch time.  Over the years hot lunch fundraising has provided support to our athletics programs.  Please contact munch@handsworthpac.ca to volunteer.
