Concussion is a risk in all athletic pursuits.
The Seycove Athetics program takes this risk seriously and requires all coaches to complete concussion awareness training each year through the CATT program.
A concussion is a type of brain injury usually caused by a direct impact to the head or body, or a quick motion of neck and head.
For our student athletes, and for anyone, timely concussion recognition and management may decrease the risk of brain damage and potentially reduce long-term health issues.
Please see the link here for more information about concussion and concussion recovery: CATT Program (Concussion Awareness Training Tool)

Included on this page, are the two pathways Seycove Athletics expects student athletes to follow as they return to learn and return to play from a concussion.
Student Return to Learn Plan: Student Return to Learn Plan 2025
CATT Return to Sport Plan: CATT Return to Sport 2025
We recommend that any student athlete suspecting a concussion should seek medical support and inform their coaches and sponsors so that they can help a student athlete monitor their return in the student athletes best long term interests.
