The North Vancouver School District 44 offers the IB Diploma Programme as an Enhanced Program. For students entering the two-year programme, the fee is $1700.00, which includes the IBO Registration and Examination Fees and the cost of the student's interactive digital resource bundle.

Full Diploma Programme fees are assessed in three separate payments. Students pay $500.00 CDN upon acceptance into the programme, $500.00 CDN in October of their first year, and $700.00 CDN in October of their graduation year.

Over the course of the two-years, students will engage in a variety of enrichment activities.  If an activity has an additional cost, students will be asked to pay on a per-activity basis. Each September, our grade 11 students partake in our annual IB DP Retreat.  The estimated cost of the retreat for two days is approximately $200.00 CDN.

Please note that North Vancouver School District has a policy that recognizes that the payment of fees is a hardship for some families. The NVSD encourages these families to make decisions about application to programmes based on educational reasons, not financial ones. No student will be denied participation in any program due to the inability to pay the associated fees.

Students who are interested in Diploma are encouraged to submit an application package for the full Diploma Programme.  However, we understand that not all students are ready to be academically challenged across all their subject areas.  For students who excel in one or two areas, we are able to offer single DP classes "a la carte."  This means that Carson students may select individual classes to enhance their timetable and learning experience.  Students in the partial diploma may take up to 3 DP courses, based on availability.

To express interest in being enrolled in individual DP courses, students will complete the Sept 2023 Partial DP application.pdf and return it to the IB Office (A202) or via email to  Cora Pross by February 17, 2023.  Full application packages are not required for partial diploma.  Space is extremely limited and there is a high demand for individual DP courses.  We cannot guarantee placement until August 2023.

There are fees associated with partial DP classes.  The cost for these courses is $600 (flat rate).  The first payment of $300 is due mid-October for the first year of study (grade 11).  The second instalment of $300 is due mid-October the following year (grade 12).

Here are some examples of course pairings students may consider when selecting individual DP courses.
