Shape a meaningful future working with children through Langara's Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate Program! Gain foundational knowledge in child development, then apply your learning through 90 hours of hands-on work experience in local early-learning settings. Earn 3 Langara credits, 8 high-school credits, and your ECEA Certificate, opening the door to employment in childcare environments. Starting February 3 through February 23, school district community members are invited to provide input on budget priorities that fall under the Operating Budget and align with the school district’s strategic priorities. There are several ways to provide feedback, including through an online survey, email and traditional mail.
You can also participate during the Standing Committee Meetings on February 3 and March 3, 2026.

The Elementary Band & Strings Program is a unique instrumental music program that is distinctive to the NVSD. The program complements the BC Ministry of Education’s Arts Education curriculum and provides school-based instrumental instruction to students in the intermediate grades (Grades 5 – 7 for Band and Grades 4 – 7 for Strings).More information is available on the Band and Strings web page.
