Red Shirt Day® of Action for Accessibility and Inclusion falls on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. It is an annual national movement across Canada encouraging people to wear red and make pledges to support persons with disabilities and promote a fully accessible society. Learn more at redshirtday.org.

Summer Learning registration opened on May 1 for NVSD students and on May 19 for students outside the NVSD. Registration closes on June 22 at 12 p.m.

Canada Day marks the anniversary of Confederation in 1867. It was originally known as Dominion Day and was renamed in 1982. Canada Day is observed annually on July 1 and is a statutory holiday in British Columbia.
