Office staff  monitor absences and late arrivals of all students.   Please use the number above to report your child absent or late.   Students arriving  late must report to the office to get a late slip.  Students leaving  school during the day, for any reason,  must sign out at the office.

    On Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 the Canadian Parents for French BC & Yukon Branch and the North Vancouver School District will host the annual district finals for the French public speaking competition, Concours d’art oratoire 2019. Students in grades 6 through 12, from across the school district, will deliver the speech that won them first prize at their school. The winners from the district finals will then advance to the provincial finals at SFU, Surrey Campus on May 4th. Senior Secondary students will then have a chance to attend the national finals in Ottawa. The CPF Concours d’art oratoire offers hundreds of prizes to participants: university scholarships, trips to Ottawa, books, medals, merchandise, cash and more. What? CPF/NVSD 44 District Finals – Concours d’art oratoire 2019 Who/When? Elementary Finals: 9am to 12:30pm Secondary Finals: 1:30pm to 4pm Where? 2121 Lonsdale Ave. North Vancouver 5th Floor, Mountain View Room Why? To practice public speaking and celebrate doing it in French!

    Parents as Career Coaches Workshop is a one session workshop designed to help parents of secondary school students become more effective career development allies for their children. Parents/guardians are introduced to the concepts of coaching and given practical tools and research skills to help them as they coach their children. This three hour workshop is intended for parents/guardians of students currently in Grades 10, 11, and 12. Participants are advised to bring writing materials to the workshop. Please note this workshop is for parents/guardians only. Hosted by North Vancouver School District. Presented by Marion Haythorne and sponsored by Capilano University. Space is limited. Information regarding signing up for this workshop will be posted in the fall of 2018.
