About the session
This session is geared towards parents/caregivers of students who have Individual Education Plans. An Individual Education Plan (IEP) is a documented plan developed for either a student with a disability(-ies) or a neurodivergent student. It describes individualized goals, adaptations or modifications, and the universal and essential supports to be provided; it also includes measures for tracking progress.

About Shelley Moore
Originally from Edmonton, and now based in Vancouver, Shelley Moore is a highly sought after teacher, researcher, consultant and storyteller who has worked with school districts and community organizations throughout Canada and the United States. Her research and work has been featured at national and international conferences and is constructed based on theory and effective practices of inclusion, inclusive education, curriculum and teacher professional development.
Thanksgiving Day was first observed as an annual event on November 6, 1879, though Indigenous peoples have a history of celebrating the fall harvest that predates the arrival of European settlers. Since 1957, Thanksgiving is observed as an annual event on the second Monday of October. It is a statutory holiday in British Columbia.
