Each year grade 3 students have a scheduled one day visit to the Cheakamus Centre's Big House to learn about our local indigenous culture.  Grade 4's and 6's have annual overnight field trips to the Cheakamus Centre's outdoor school to  further immerse themselves and expand their knowledge of indigenous history and traditions.  Transportation to outdoor school is by professional bus drivers.  Outdoor school trips are scheduled well in advance and appear on the school calendar.  Information sessions happen in advance to help parents and students prepare for the trip.  Fees for outdoor school will be listed on school cash online.  To find out more information about the Cheakmus Centre programs please click on the link below to visit their website.
