North Vancouver School District
Career and Volunteer Resource Centre

Career Pathways 44 - The North Vancouver School District provides meaningful, relevant and personalized opportunities for learners to explore their vision for a multitude of post-secondary pathways. Students in the School District are encouraged to participate in activities designed to guide them through various career options, providing valuable insights into the opportunities that await them as they plan for their future.

The Argyle Career Centre is a resource for students interested in career planning and work experience opportunities. The career centre is located in room 177 on the main floor, north of the theatre, beside the stairwell. The centre is run by the Work Experience Facilitators, who maintain a “Career Board,” located down the hall from the centre. The career board is updated daily with various volunteer and paid positions, career fairs, and hands-on opportunities available to students in grades 10 – 12.

If you are interested in getting credit for work experience, visit the career centre and find out how the Argyle Work Experience and Co-op Programs work. These programs allow students to explore areas of interest as well as prepare them for the transition from secondary to post-secondary school. It's an opportunity for students to observe and practice employability skills in the workplace for a specific occupation.

Additionally, the centre will assist with templates to help students prepare resumes and cover letters.
