The Argyle Grade 8 and 9 cast is thrilled to present Romeo, You Idiot! by Tim Kochenderfer, a laugh-out-loud, spoof of Shakespeare’s original tragedy. In this fast-paced comedy, nothing can come between Romeo and Juliet, not bitter rivalries, not itchy poison ivy, and not even the wooing of an alleged vampire! This is Shakespeare like you’ve never seen it before, with non-stop laughs and outrageous twists from start to finish.
Performances take place February 3, 4, and 5 at 7:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:30 pm, in the Argyle James Buchanan Theatre. There are no seat reservations, seating is first come, first served. No physical tickets will be issued; your name will be on a will-call list at the door. The show runs approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission. Recommended for students in Grades 5 and up due to some more mature content and simulated fight scenes. Don’t miss this high-energy, laugh-a-minute junior production!
