Family Day is observed annually on the third Monday of February and is a statutory holiday in British Columbia. It provides families an opportunity to spend time with each other.
Resources:
Starting February 3 through February 23, school district community members are invited to provide input on budget priorities that fall under the Operating Budget and align with the school district’s strategic priorities. There are several ways to provide feedback, including through an online survey, email and traditional mail.
You can also participate during the Standing Committee Meetings on February 3 and March 3, 2026.
For more information on how to engage, visit the Budget Priorities: Public Input web page.
Visit our Public Meetings web page for information on how you can participate and to review the meeting agenda, which is posted on the Thursday afternoon preceding the public meeting.
The Elementary Band & Strings Program is a unique instrumental music program that is distinctive to the NVSD. The program complements the BC Ministry of Education’s Arts Education curriculum and provides school-based instrumental instruction to students in the intermediate grades (Grades 5 – 7 for Band and Grades 4 – 7 for Strings).More information is available on the Band and Strings web page.
