Argyle Grad 2026 Key Dates
School Sponsored Grad Events
Safety is of paramount importance during school sponsored events. Therefore, all school sponsored grad events are drug free (no alcohol, narcotics, vapour products or tobacco). We request the cooperation of grads and parents in making certain none are consumed before or during these events. Any parent or grad doing so will be required to leave an event, will not be allowed to enter an event and no refund will be given.
Grad Winter Semi Formal
Thursday, January 22nd, 2026
Italian Cultural Centre, 3075 Slocan Street, Vancouver
6:30 - 10:00 pm
Tickets are $85 each and can be purchased through School Cash Online. Tickets must be purchased by Friday, January 16th, 2026.
Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the event. There is large parking lot at the ICC and parking is free. This is a school sanctioned DRY grad event for Argyle 2026 grads only (no guests/parents/guardians). We look forward to this special grad event!
Convocation Ceremony
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026
Queen Elizabeth Theatre
7:00 pm
Grads will need to be at the venue
one hour before the ceremony begins wearing their gown as the gown is their ticket into the event.The entrance doors will open 30 minutes before the ceremony. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased on
School Cash Online. There will be no restrictions on ticket sales.
Note: Each guest must have a ticket to enter Queen Elizabeth Theatre . Grads do not need a ticket (their
grad gown is their ticket). Tickets must be picked up at the school prior to attending the event
NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. LATECOMERS WILL NOT BE SEATED UNTIL THERE IS A BREAK IN THE PROGRAM. If you have guests that need special seating, please contact Ms. Ames

- Program: Welcome from M.C., Coast Salish anthem, O Canada, Governor General Award, Introductory remarks by the principal, presentation of scholarships, presentation of graduates, performance(s) by grads, presentation to winners of major awards, valedictorian address, recessional.
- Formal Atmosphere: Grads and the audience should dress and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to the formality of the occasion. The ceremony will be 2.5 to 3 hours long.
- Photography: A photograph of each grad will be taken on stage by Grads BC. Please do not approach the stage or block the aisles to take photographs. Flash photography is not permitted in the theatre.
Grad Banquet
Saturday, June 20th, 2026
6:30PM
Graduation banquet is a dry family event that will be held on Saturday, June 20th at the Westin Bayshore
Hotel in Vancouver. Tickets are $160 each and usually grads attend with their parents/ guardians.
Tickets include a buffet dinner, dry bar, photo booth, and DJ. Grads and guests must each have a ticket
to enter, and all guests will be screened by private security. Please email Principal Laura Ames
lames@sd44.ca if you need financial assistance to attend this event.
Here is an overview of the ticket purchase pick/up process this year:
1. Buy up to three tickets on school cash online May 25 – 29 (usually, grad and parents/ guardians).
2. If you would like to purchase an additional ticket, please fill out this form by May 29th. We will
be in touch the week of June 1-5th with those who have
requested an additional ticket.
Additional tickets will be sold subject to space and availability in our venue. If there are more
requests for tickets than space, a lottery will be held.
3. Students line up to pick up tickets and select their seats at the school in the cafeteria from June
8-12th from 8:00am to 8:50am each morning. Students must be present (not parents) and can
only pick up their own family’s tickets.
a. Students will check in and confirm their purchase of tickets (a staff member will check
School Cash Online)
b. Students will then move to the seat selection station where they will be able to see a
floor plan of the banquet room and select seats.
4. Students will be seated with family members and should line up with any peers they hope to sit
with. Students may not select seats or pickup tickets for any other students.
*Students that are still in line at the cut off time each morning will be given a ticket number to return the
next morning ahead of the next line.
Important notes:
- Tables seat 10 and assigned seating is in place.
- This is a dry event and school code of conduct applies at all times.
- We ask for parent support with student supervision during this event.
- Dinner is a buffet that will have gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and vegan options. Please email
Principal Laura Ames lames@sd44.ca by June 5th if a guest has serious allergies and requires a
plated meal.
- All guests, including grads, must have a ticket to enter, keep your tickets safe!
