​A PDF of the Powerpoint presentation given by Bill Reid on the evening of Nov 26, 2015.  While needing some explanation throughout, the slides make up the body of the presentation designed to provide parents with a degree of familiarity to the new curriculum of the BC Education Plan.  The presentation touches on scope of the curriculum, and the sequence of curricular planning from Core Competencies, through the Big Ideas, Curricular Competencies, and on to Content areas.   There is a focus on the areas and specifics of Collaboration, Inquiry based learning, Concept vs. Content, and what the significant changes are to the curriculum. It looks at the rationale behind the curriculum, as well as practical hints for how you can help you kids, what questions you can ask them, and includes a few sample lessons along with their assessment rubric.​
