​Traffic Safety is an opportunity for grade 5 students to develop their leadership at Montroyal Elementary.

With parent permission, students attend a training session and are assigned a role as a Traffic Assistant outside Montroyal Elementary.  Students will have a shift after school, that assists in the drop off zone outside of the school.   Students help to direct traffic in order to keep the drop off/pick up traffic moving along.  Every shift also has a parent volunteer there supervising the children and assisting with any problems that may arise. 

It is a great way for grade 5s to get involved in the school community.
