HMPA Volunteer Opportunities 


Handsworth Music Parents Association

Thank you  to all the parents who have already volunteered to help with the music program this year.  We are looking for a few more parents to help out in a variety of ways.  If you are able to assist or would like to learn more, please e-mail David Bradshaw dbradshaw@sd44.ca and/or Sab Kabok skabok@sd44.ca.

Available Volunteer Positions

​Chair
​Assist with overall HMPA organization throughout the year.  Attends / chairs HMPA meetings.  Meets regularly with music teachers.  Acts as the face of the organization. 
​Concert Set-up 
​Assists teachers and students with set-up for concerts.  Provides supervision of students while they set up the concert. 
​Concert Assistants
​Help with traffic flow and supervision of students during concerts.
​Concert Door Donations​Takes donations at the door for concerts.
​Refreshment Coordinator​Organizes and sells refreshments at concerts.
​School Website Liaison​Reviews and updates HMPA page on school website. Coordinates with the school to make sure that music activities are highlighted when necessary.
​Sweet Music Assistants
​Helps the Sweet Music coordinators with the Sweet Music concert.
​Volunteer Coordinator​Using signup genius recruits volunteers for a variety of roles.
​General Helpers as required
​Helps where needed at events, concerts etc.
