The National Day of Mourning is a day when families, workers and employers remember those who have lost their lives on the job. It is an opportunity to renew our commitment to creating safer workplaces for all and is observed annually on April 28.

Summer Learning registration opens on May 1 at 9 a.m. for NVSD students (and on May 19 for students outside the NVSD). Registration closes on June 22 at 12 p.m.

Victoria Day was established around 1845 to honour Queen Victoria. It is observed annually on the last Monday preceding May 25. It is a statutory holiday in British Columbia.
