Marissa Heaven writes: Andrew is incredibly talented with a huge array of skills, but music is where he truly shines. He plays saxophone and demonstrates a level of musicianship and prowess well beyond his years. He leaves me in awe! Besides being the lead player in my senior ensembles, he also values mentorship and making a difference in the development of the younger students. He regularly TA's my junior jazz ensembles, gives private lessons during his lunch break and even helps write solos for his peers. Recently, he revealed that he has composed and arranged an entire big band arrangement! My senior jazz ensemble is going to play it with Andrew at the lead! Andrew is kind, thoughtful, patient and an inspiration to so many members of my program, including myself!
