Born in England, raised in Pakistan, and now based in Vancouver, Sara Khan creates paintings that explore her relationship to absence and presence as well as identity and culture.  Khan often works in watercolour and she uses rich colour palettes as well as meticulous patterns, layers, and details in her paintings.  

A participant in notable art residencies and festivals in Norway and Canada, her vibrant journey has taken her to solo and group exhibitions globally, where she has exhibited her work in several national and international group exhibitions.  

Sara Khan holds a BFA with honours from the National College of Arts, Lahore.
