École Dorothy Lynas Elementary School is a public dual track elementary school situated in the lovely Indian River community of North Vancouver
Families with students in Grades 7 to 11 are invited to learn about the various enhanced programs and academies offered at secondary schools throughout the school district. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Carson Graham Secondary (2145 Jones Avenue).
École Dorothy Lynas Elementary School is a vibrant learning community situated on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish people. We acknowledge the history of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation – People of the Inlet (twnation.ca) and the incredible 'teachings' our school is provided. In collaboration with home-school, we strive for alignment with the Strategic Plan 2021-2031 - North Vancouver School District (sd44.ca). We offer English and French Immersion programs for students enrolled in Kindergarten to Grade 7. We are part of both the Seycove (English) and Windsor (French Immersion) Secondary School families of school. Please visit us! 2025-2026 School Calendar
The Elementary Band & Strings Program is a unique instrumental music program that is distinctive to the NVSD. The program complements the BC Ministry of Education’s Arts Education curriculum and provides school-based instrumental instruction to students in the intermediate grades (Grades 5 – 7 for Band and Grades 4 – 7 for Strings).More information is available on the Band and Strings web page.
