École Dorothy Lynas Elementary School is a public dual track elementary school situated in the lovely Indian River community of North Vancouver at 4000 Inlet Crescent.  Our setting enables us to have a close connection with the nature around us.  We offer English and French Immersion programs for students enrolled in Kindergarten to Grade 7.  Dorothy Lynas has one of the highest enrollment numbers of all elementary schools in the North Vancouver School District consisting of close to 550 students.  We are  part of the Seycove (English) and Windsor (French Immersion) Secondary School catchment areas.  To access our school, take the Mount Seymour Parkway turning north onto Mount Seymour Road, then right onto Indian River Drive and right onto Inlet Crescent.

At Dorothy Lynas we offer a Band and Strings program, various sports opportunities, hot lunch program every Thursday, well stocked library, trained peer counselors, full time music teacher and as well, we have a very active and supportive PAC as all parents are members of the PAC.

The teaching and support staff at Dorothy Lynas work to create an environment in which each child can work, grow and develop to the best of his/her ability.  One aspect of this endeavor is to ensure that the school is a safe place.  Our classrooms base instruction in self-regulation and social responsibility and all of the adults in our school work together to teach and reinforce behaviours that are consistent with our Code of Conduct.
