 | Hello.
I am the school counsellor at Boundary and Capilano Elementary. My favourite part of my job is spending time
with kids. I have experience helping
children work through difficult times in their lives using expressive art
therapy which includes art, play, crafts and sand tray. I have also written booklets on strategies
for managing anxiety, building positive friendships and tools for
self-regulation. I am passionate about
using Nature as part of my therapy with children as well as introducing them to
mindfulness and meditation. I also love
to knit, crochet and sew and you will often find me working with students on
projects while we talk. I have recently
started Animal Assisted Therapy with my dog, Addie, who is in training to be a
therapy dog. When I am not at work I love to be with my
family. I try to spend as much time as
possible outside.
