Queen Mary Family Learning Program
The Queen Mary Family Learning Program, which works to provide opportunities for parents and other caregivers in the Lower Lonsdale area to be more involved in their community and be better able to access services. NEWCOMERS WELCOME!
Where: St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church – just North of Queen Mary School - 220 West 8th Street
Wednesdays: After school program for Children and their parents/caregivers Doors open at 2:15 p.m. Program runs 3:15-4:45
Thursdays: Coffee at 8:30; Program Activities for adults 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Thursday morning sessions: 9:00 - 9:10 am - Weekly Headlines Presentation (by a participant and a tutor) 9:20 - 10:00 am: Presentation (if there is one) 10:00 - 11:00 am: Tutoring (small groups and one-to-one), blogging,and Connecting with the group; Tutoring for adults: Reading, Writing, Oral Communication
