🚶♀️ Join the Walking School Bus! 🚶♂️
The Walking School Bus (WSB) is a fun, safe, and active way for students to walk to and from school together with trained adult volunteers. It helps build community, encourages daily physical activity, and supports safer school travel.
We are also currently looking for parent coordinators to help support the program. If you’re interested in getting involved or would like to learn more, please reach out. We’d love to have you join our team!

How does the Walking School Bus (WSB) work?
A Walking School Bus (WSB) is an organized group of children who walk to and from school together with the support of one or more trained adult Walk Leaders. Like a traditional school bus, the group walks along a predetermined route with planned "Bus stops" along the way to pick up more children. The WSB runs rain or shine, Monday to Friday, in the morning and afternoon.
Families can either drop their child(ren) off at a WSB stop, or their child(ren) can meet the WSB on their own. From there, the WSB will continue onwards to school. In the afternoon, the children will be dropped off at their listed stops. Please note: this is not a child care program. Participating families will be added to a group chat so that you're up to date on where the WSB is each day!
For your child(ren) to be part of the Walking School Bus: They need to be able to a) follow instructions from an adult leader, b) follow pedestrian safety rules, and c) interact positively with other children on the WSB.
Registration: Completing this form is only the first part of the registration process, and does not guarantee your child(ren) a spot on the WSB. We will be in touch with the registration forms once you submit the survey. As a community-based program, we rely on volunteer support to accommodate more children on the WSB - if you can volunteer for even one walk a week, it is a HUGE help and means we can expand our physical, environmental, and community impact in your area.
