Highlands Goals

Goal #1​

At Highlands Elementary School, we strive for all students to receive research-based, explicit instruction in literacy and numeracy in order to demonstrate appropriate reading, writing, speaking, listening and numerical competencies.At Highlands Elementary School, we purposefully teach acceptance and inclusion of all people while building capacity in our students and staff by explicitly teaching social-emotional learning skills across all grade levels.

    The North Vancouver School District is seeking feedback from secondary school students, families, and staff on the yearly schedule for secondary schools. Input received will help the school district plan for the coming 2023/2024 school year.

    The survey is open from Tuesday, January 17 to Tuesday, January 31, 11:59 p.m.

    Staff will receive an invitation to participate with a direct link to the survey from their school administration  team; parents/guardians and students will receive an invitation with a direct link via email from the North Vancouver School District.

    The school district thanks all who take the time to complete this survey.

    École Secondaire Argyle Secondary School

    ​A Digital Media Academy (DMA) information session takes place on Wednesday, February 1 at 7 p.m. at the Argyle Secondary School library. DMA Teachers Murray Bulger and Chris Miller will discuss details about the DMA Full program (Grades 11 and 12), DMA Lite program (Grades 9 and 10), and application requirements.     The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) is an internationally recognized, rigorous university preparatory two-year program for students in Grades 11 and 12 that leads to a qualification that is widely recognized by the world's leading universities. It is offered at Carson Graham Secondary.

    An in-person information session for parents/guardians and prospective students interested in the program for the 2023-2024 school year will be held on February 2, 2023 at Carson Graham Secondary.
