The Jingle Dance is from the Ojibwe Nations and started during the time of the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1919. Learn about the history of the Jingle Dance through an interview with Brenda Child, Red Lake Ojibwe, HERE.

In the interview, the 2019 Google Doodle by Joshua Mangeshig Pawis-Steckley honouring the Jingle Dress was discussed. You can find out more about the Google Doodle HERE and HERE. You can also read more about the 100 Year Anniversary of the Jingle Dance HERE.
