Eastview Elementary staff and students continue to look for meaningful ways to incorporate the First Peoples Principles of Learning in the classroom. This happens in a variety of subjects including Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and even PE. Teachers look at different ways of including the Aboriginal views and perspectives in our daily lessons. This approach is in alignment with the revised BC Curriculum.

To enhance our aboriginal understandings, we are please to have Les George, a First Nations Support Worker with our School District, attending our school and visiting our classes. Les is a member of the Tsleil Waututh Nation and has many talents and skills to share. He has shared stories, drumming, songs, and cultural information with our students. We look forward to continued visits with Les!
