The foods classes recently participated in a lab called "Mission ImPULSEible" as part of a unit on Pulses (beans, lentils and chickpeas). The unit was inspired by
the United Nations theme for 2016 which is the International Year of the Pulse,
and Canada happens to be the leading producer of pulses in the
world! The big idea is "Why does the World Need More Pulses?".
The impossible part is that they had to use pulses in a dessert which were then judged by staff in an Iron Chef-like competition.
