On April 1st, the Queensbury Community came together on a special Walking Wednesday to celebrate the beginning of April as Autism Awareness Month.  The event was organzied by grade 3 student Mia Jenkinson in honour of her brother Kyle, and brought together community partners with the staff, students and families  to raise awareness and funds for the Canucks Autism Network.

On Sunday, April 12th, Mia presentered her cheque for $550 to the Canucks Autism Network and spoke to the crowd about the event she organized, her brother why raising awareness about Autism is so important to her.  Great work Mia!
