Dear Eastview Community

Welcome back for the 2018-2019 school year! We hope you and your family have had a wonderful summer break. We are excited to see everyone next week and look forward to hearing about everyone’s adventures.

The first day of school on Tuesday, September 4^th is for two hours. Classes start at 8:46 and students will be dismissed at 10:50 on that day. Students do not bring their school supplies until Thursday.

Returning students are to report last year’s classroom. New students are to go to the Library.

Wednesday, September 5^th

On Wednesday, students in grades 1 to 7 will be participating in a variety of activities through the day in multi-age groupings. It will give them an opportunity to meet new friends and see many familiar faces while being engaged in a variety of fun activities. It is a full day of school with our regular 2:50 dismissal.

Kindergarten students begin their gradual entry. Returning students are to report last year’s classroom, except for the grade 1’s who are to go to the activity room. New students are to go to the Library.

Thursday, September 6^th

We anticipate that students will be transitioning to their new classes by Recess time on this day. We ask that parents help us in preparing the students by discussing with them the new opportunities of perhaps having a new teacher and classmates. Successful start to the school year is dependent on parent support and we appreciate your help!

Friday, September 7^th

We will have a welcome back assembly at 9:15 on Friday. Parents are more than welcome to join us.
