Office 365 Permission Form

September 30, 2016
Student name, Student number

Dear Parents/Guardians,

In the summer, we advised parents/guardians that all students in grades four to 12 will receive Office 365. We are excited to inform you that we are now ready to roll out this feature for students.

Office 365 enables the North Vancouver School District to provide students with school district email accounts that will be used for various educational purposes. Students will also receive 50GB of email storage and 1TB for file storage, as well and access to many Office 365 features. Students and teachers will be able to work on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote projects collaboratively and to file share documents such as projects and homework. Another benefit of Office 365 is that all students are able to download Microsoft Office software to use at home and on their personal devices for free.

To provide Office 365 accounts to students, the North Vancouver School District requires consent from both parent and student. Please follow the link below to review and sign the electronic permission form. Your child's account will not be activated until both parent and student have signed this permission form. To complete this permission form online, parents will need to register for a School Cash Online account. This secured web platform is already used by the North Vancouver School District to collect school fees online and is now also being utilized for online permission forms. Signing-up for an account is really easy. To register, you will need your child's student number. Your child's student number is located above.

For those parents who already have School Cash Online accounts, please login to your account to review and sign the Office 365 permission form.

To login to an existing account or to register for a new account, please visit: https://sd44.schoolcashonline.com/. The set-up for new accounts is easy because the School Cash Online website walks parents through the process. If you are having difficulty, more detailed instructions are available here: http://www.sd44.ca/District/SchoolCashOnline/Documents/SchoolCashOnlineStepByStepRegistration.pdf

Sincerely,
