Goal #1​

At Highlands Elementary School, we strive for all students to receive research-based, explicit instruction in literacy and numeracy in order to demonstrate appropriate reading, writing, speaking, listening and numerical competencies.At Highlands Elementary School, we purposefully teach acceptance and inclusion of all people while building capacity in our students and staff by explicitly teaching social-emotional learning skills across all grade levels.

    The 55th annual Cheakamus Centre Open House takes place on Sunday, May 5, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Join Cheakamus Centre staff for a fun, family day of nature exploration and discovery, including visiting the Coast Salish longhouse, salmon hatchery, farm animals, nature trails and more.

    There will be a cash concession, picnic-friendly food, and water bottle refill stations. Parking available by suggested $2 donation. Sorry, no pets allowed.

Intended for families and their 3-to 5-year-old children, Ready, Set, Learn events support preschool-aged children prepare for their eventual transition to Kindergarten and help foster positive connections among families, schools and early learning community partners.
