Cross Country Team 2025

To all Ecole Boundary Cross Country Runners,  

 

The first Argyle Family of Schools (FOS) Mini Meet will take place NEXT THURSDAY, October 9th starting at Upper Lynn Elementary.  This is a "training race" and a chance to test out their early season skills. 

Parking is limited around Upper Lynn. Please, respect the neighbours and try parking a few blocks away or carpool.   

IMPORTANT MINI MEET INFORMATION 

VALUES 

  • Rule #1 = Respect (yourself, others and the earth) 

  • Rule #2 = Challenge - enjoy the experience of effort and help others do the same. Turn around at the finish and cheer the next person to the line.  

  • Rule #3 = EVERYONE CAN RUN!! 

COURSE AND SCHEDULE 

  • 3:30pm - Schools gather (meet) on the gravel field north of the school.  

  • Please, marshal at your SCHOOL SIGN on the FENCE. 

  • Athletes must stay BEHIND the yellow tape at all times during the event.  

  • 3:40pm(ish) - Events start - all genders (though may split grade 4 and 5 into smaller groups if needed) 

  • ORDER OF EVENTS:  Gr.  7, 4, 6, 5  (2 to 3 min. apart)  

  • The course is a 600m loop with two small, steep ascents and one, long descent back to the field.  

Grade 4/5 – 2 laps, Grade 6/7 -3 laps  

  • Watch out for rocks, roots, and obstacles in the forest.   

  • Athletes count their own laps.  

  • HAVE FUN AND GIVE HIGH 5's AT THE FINISH.  Be sure to thank the volunteers. 

  • 4:20pm - Clean up

Meet at 3:30, sign in, 3:45 start  

Grades 4, 5 ,6, 7 (practice meet)

Meet at 3:30, sign in, 3:45 start  

Grades 4 and 6 only (final meet)

We're excited to announce that Ms. Zander and Ms. Elliott will be coaching our Cross Country team this season!

​Practice Schedule:

  • Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:10–8:40 AM
    • Tuesday - ​September 16 (meeting), September 23, 30 and October 7, 14, 21
    • Thursday - September 18, 25, October 2, 9, 16 (band students can miss Thursday practice or leave early depending on Band practice timing)
  • Location: Meet at the sport court
  • Note: Attendance will be taken before each practice.
