Students from North Vancouver and West Vancouver recently attended the Game of Apps Regional Championships at Carson Graham Secondary this past Saturday, May 11th. At the event, students were able to present their five-minute pitch presentations, highlighting the app they’ve built, explaining why they built it, and demoing their final product.

Game of Apps is a program that guides secondary school students through the process
of building mobile apps, all the way from concept and ideas to full functioning
apps. Local technology professionals volunteer their time to mentor the
students weekly, teaching them on the same tools, techniques and processes used
by the industry. Students are then grouped into teams and they first come up
with an app idea and then they build it.
