Storm
weather is expected over the next several days. Environment Canada has
issued the following rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver: https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?bc42
Rainfall could exceed 60 mm on the North Shore with rain and strong winds redeveloping on Thursday evening and over the weekend.
Any high streamflow
advisories affecting the North Shore will be posted to the BC River Forecast Centre website: http://bcrfc.env.gov.bc.ca/warnings/index.htm
Parents
and guardians are urged to carefully monitor children in their care who
may play or visit areas in the vicinity of rivers and streams. Please
be extra cautious when walking and driving and watch for pedestrians,
especially in school zones.
