School Agreements

HAVE YOU HEARD? We have updated our School Agreements! Last April the staff looked at our SPARK School Agreements and thought, “Can we make this easier for our kids to learn, understand, and follow?” The answer was “YES!” With input from parents, staff, and students, our NEW School Agreements for our school are:

Name – What will it be???

Be Safe

Be Kind

Be Responsible

Be Respectful

Be Inclusive

Wait… We need your help! Your challenge, if you accept it, is to:

  1. Think of a name for our NEW School Agreements.

  2. Create an image for our NEW School Agreements.

How to Participate:

  • Read about our school to provide you with ideas (and ask your parents to work with you).

  • Read our new School Action Plan to give you information on our goals.

  • Complete the attached form Ecole Sherwood Park School Agreements Name and Logo Contest: Student Application Form or fill out the student poster contest application page.pdf

  • The name and logo you submit must include:

    • an easy name for students, staff, and parents to remember

    • an image or logo that represents our school’s NEW School Agreements

  • Tell us why you chose the name

  • All entries must be handed to the office by October 31 – no late entries will be accepted

  • Three finalists will be chosen by staff and students the week of November 4

  • Student voting will take place week of November 11

  • Look for the NEW School Agreements name and logo of our school and the name of the contest winner in the November newsletter

After reviewing the school website, an Ecole Sherwood Park student should think about a name and logo for the school that will reflect the culture of Ecole Sherwood Park Elementary. This contest gives every student two chances to have a say in the name and logo: (1) submitting a name and logo and (2) voting for their favourite.
