Dear Ridgeway Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to the 2019/2020 school year at Ridgeway! We are delighted to be back and look forward to seeing familiar faces, welcoming new ones, and getting started on an exciting year of learning. Below is the schedule for the first week.

Grade 1-7 Students

Tuesday, September 3

• Students attend from 8:45 – 10:45 am
  
• Students return to their last year's classroom
  
• New students go to the library, which is on the main floor beside the office 
  

Wednesday, September 4

• Students attend for the full day (8:45 am -2:50 pm)
• Students return to their last year's classroom
  
• New students go to the library, which is on the main floor beside the office 
  
• Students may transition to new classes today 

Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6

• Students return to their last year's classroom or new classroom (students will be greeted at the doors and reminded where to go)
  
• New students go to the library or new classroom (students will be greeted at the doors and reminded where to go)
  

Please understand that we hope to be able to transition students into their new classes on Wednesday, but as a result of a few changes at Ridgeway, we have to do some reorganization. Both teaching staff and administration carry the responsibility and skills to create classes. Many hours of thought and care are invested in this process as there are multiple factors to be considered. We thank you for your understanding as we finalize classes for this school year.  Please help your child understand that they may not know who their new teacher and classmates will be until later on during the first week.

Kindergarten Students

• Students attend according to the gradual entry schedule that was sent home via email and letter during the summer
  
• Gradual entry starts on Wednesday, September 4th
