Carlile Youth Concurrent Disorders Centre provides support to high school students (13 to 18 yrs) struggling with addiction and mental health disorders. Carlile is a ten-bed inpatient unit located on the third floor of Hope Centre. Staffed with psychiatrists, nurses, youth care workers, social workers and an occupational therapist, there is also educational support provided by Mountainside teachers.
Students attend Carlile's classroom from 9:45 - 12:00 every weekday morning. Teachers support continued studies from home schools, help students develop new skills, and/or offer North Vancouver District's Self-Efficacy course (4 credits).
